Mashima-sensei is a genius!

He really knows how to use all the important characters.

my first thought when i saw the cover was, 'ultear is gonna do something.' and she did. thank you for that 1 minute.



i just hope someone realizes what that 1 minute meant for ultear. let natsu or lucy figure it out, since they weren't even in this one. XD



instead of a raging juvia, which always happens, i would've thought her in despair is expected, considering it was her stupidity which caused the tragedy of the previous chapter. i was actually more moved with lyon's tears than her face. i'd like it to be a wake-up call for her, somehow.



i wonder what that 1 minute means next week, with the counterattack and all.

Intent of the spell caster (and the author) was to help the mages. Dragons wouldn't have seen it or been benefited

I don't think ultear will die. Mashima will probably pull another unexpected phenomenon

Urtear died RAVE Mashima's style - not knowing she succeeded and thinking everyone she cared or knew is doomed.



Of course if it WAS mashima form back then, Gray would be shot through the head again next chapter xD



Anyway I doubt it will be as easy. We know that nothing will go right for now yet anyway  
considering the spoilers about Lucy and Jellal we have

Didn't see that coming. Nope not at all.

Disappointed. We all knew Ultear's gonna do this. I actually wanted Gray to die. He's my favorite character, mind you. But to get this story to a new level, we needed that kind of tragedy, you know... Gray, a main character and a FT guild member, sacrificing for others.



I'm kind of shocked that Ultear didn't even think that she'll leave Meredy. Didn't they have a strong bond? :( Oh well. Thank you, Ultear.

Ultear was really useful but i still feel sad about her death and the sad thing is she thought that the one minute she was only able to give to humanity was just futile.
