No one saved was worth Ultear's life.

As reading the chapter I thought her powers is so convenient, but learning the one minute was very futile. I really wonder if she really is dead.

I expected this to happen but an emotional event like this killing off one of  the MC's would have been really good for the story. Showing the despair that derives from war but no we get Ultear time magic, i'm a little disappointed i like Gray and all but i was content with him dying off.

Did I miss something? How come the enemies didn't benefit from this 1 minute time lapse too?Plot holes. Plot holes everywhere.

It's only a plothole if you don't take the step to reach the obvious conclusion. Does everything have to be spelled out for you?

I can think of at least a few reasons why Ultear's spell wouldn't benefit the 'bad' guys. I can think of those myself, so I don't need an explanation in the middle of it happening.

I can also come up with ways in which it could benefit the bad guys, but the knowledge that it didn't, it wouldn't make sense, and it simply wasn't what the way the author wrote it as, is enough for me to accept it for what it was

It's simple. The bad guys would see themselves killing their opponents. At least those with higher intelligence than that of a drone. So it doesn't really change anything since they would see the future that would have been where they actually kill their targets. So to them seeing 1 minute into an obsolete future is pointless. Where as their victims now know of the attack that ends them and can act accordingly which would also only further confuse the bad guys.
