"You lied to me," he breathed out the words like he was tired and did not want to be here, "you lied to everyone."
Jade gulped and glanced at his hands that were holding the handcuffs. Even in the dark, she could make out the outline of them. "I didn't want to…"
"Yes?" He huffed and mocked, "tell me then did your beloved master have to force your hand to fool every one of us?" To fool me? But he left that unsaid.
Jade remained quiet. Every game had unfolded and every clue had been brought out to light. There was nothing she could do, and even if she spoke the truth that was in her heart at the moment, no one would believe her. Not even the man that vowed to. No, her alpha won't believe her.
"Please," letting go of her morals, she begged. "Please believe me when I say that I changed—”
"No one cares if you have changed or not!" He roared and she flinched at the anger of the wolf. Her head bowed down and the animal inside her submitted to her mate and alpha. Her animal had already betrayed her. "Lies! Lies are what we have heard from you from the beginning!" He spat and the chain rattled in his hands. "There is nothing that will come from that mouth and I will ever believe in again."
Jade nodded, her tears blurring the vision but she did not make a sound. Even when she heard him near her.
He snatched her hand roughly and clasped the handcuff on her wrist. For the first time, the alpha's actions were in complete contrast to what they had been before and it hurt.
"Stay here, thief." The word made her flinch. "You will see the daylight when you receive your judgment."
She did not have the strength to open her eyes until she heard his footsteps retreat into the distance, leaving her alone in the cold dark and filthy dungeons of the pack clans. Resigning to her fate, she slowly moved to the wall to which the chains were attached and slid down with her back touching it on the floor.
What had she done?

Story:
The story revolves around the 11-year-old boy Tsubasa Ozora. His dream is to become a football star and lead Japan to victory in the World Cup. The narrative was highly engaging, and I often found myself reading five or more volumes back-to-back.
Characters:
The characters are young schoolboys who share a passion for soccer. Among Tsubasa's friends are Genzo Wakabayashi, Taro Misaki, and Jun Misugi. He also faces numerous rivals, such as Kojiro Hyuga. The team's coach is Roberto Hongo, a former member of the Brazilian national team whose career ended prematurely due to an eye injury. I truly appreciated almost every character.
Art:
Although the manga is over twenty years old, its art style remains appealing. Naturally, Captain Tsubasa doesn't match the visual sophistication of newer manga titles.
My Opinion:
I have a fondness for sports manga, and being a devoted soccer fan, reading Captain Tsubasa was a necessity for me. In my view, it stands as the best soccer manga available. It's a must-read for soccer enthusiasts and anyone with an interest in sports.
Based around the School Soccer Career of the Main Character Oozora Tsubasa, from his meeting with his Mentor to encountering the players who would become the core members of the Japan Youth Team of the golden Generation.
Tsubasa Oozora
The main and titular character in this section of the story, it's more about him trying to find his way to become a Soccer player in a nation where soccer is considered a third-level sport.
Hongo Roberto
An ex-Brazilian International Player who is half-Japanese. He had to retire due to an eye injury, then joined the Navy where he met Oozora's father. Afterward, he returned to Japan and became Oozora's mentor.
Wakabashi Genzo
The best young goalkeeper in Japan, one of Tsubasa's friend/rival characters.
Art
Holds up well compared to the art of any sports manga today, better than the art of any Soccer manga currently but not as refined as the art in Touch or Dokaben.
Final Thoughts
I'm a huge fan of Sports anime/manga, so there might be some bias on my part. Overall, it's well-written but not as polished as Adachi's manga. Very few manga achieve that level.
