I was sent to kill the Demon King.

Why? Because my shitty stepmother convinced my weak-ass father that if I didn’t, my precious stepsister might one day be killed by demons.

Never mind the fact that I’m the Princess of the Elf Kingdom and an elite assassin who has spent years slaughtering demons for fun.

But when I finally sneak into the Demon King\'s castle, ready to end his existence, I don’t find a weak target.

I find Xareth.

My childhood friend. My former ally. The man who is now the most powerful demon in existence.

And instead of a fight to the death, he does something way worse.

He drops me on the floor, smirks like the arrogant bastard he is, and shows me a marriage contract.

Signed by my parents.

Selling me off.

To HIM.

To protect my stepsister.

Now, I’m stuck in his castle, surrounded by demons, forced into a marriage I never agreed to.

I should be planning my escape.

I should be stabbing him in his smug fucking face.

Instead, I’m throwing wine bottles at nobles, beating the shit out of my stepsister, and getting bitten on the neck like a damn snack.

And Xareth?

That bastard just keeps smirking, watching me lose my mind, like he planned this all along.
