Shadows of Ara

Kalenje, the son of the chief of Mubaila, survives an attack from a neighboring village, the Gbali people. He makes it to the cave of Borrankama, a healer of his people and the priestess of Miko. He meets two others who survived the ambush, Laziza and Ara. Kalenje is forced to choose between the two, even though he could have all, ara would not allow,

Kalenje, who has his heart set on avenging his people and parents, undergoes a ritual and becomes the beast of Miko, their deity. He avenges his people and finds out later that the Gbali had not killed them, but Ara did.

He stays as the beast of Miko, living through the ages after Borrankama was killed by Ara. With his gift of immortality. He is plagued with the reincarnation of Ara, who was cursed by Borrankama before her death.

Kalenje, who loses his memory with time, meets Rose, a shadow of Ara, and they fall in love this time. Slowly, they both remember who they are. Will he kill this shadow or will he love?
