–A man who gets sandwiched by Yuri can just go to hell.

Hiiro unfortunately got reincarnated in the world of the Yuri game 『Everything for the Score』,  where such words are true.

At first, for Hiiro, who loves Yuri, the world seemed like an ideal world for him, but…he gradually became aware of the reality.

Because the world he lived in was a modern Japan world where magic exists, a fantasy world where scores are everything.

On top of that, the world was a caste world where everything from behavior, accomplishments, even daily life affairs such as how to fold a futon was evaluated, and the 『Score』 given by the government is the one that determines the caste.

In such a world, Hiiro continues to be persecuted unreasonably, being given 0 points just because he is a man. Moreover, he was destined to die a horrible death because he got reincarnated as the one and only male annoyance in the game.

In order to deal with the approaching death flag, he seeks power by training his magic, and making strategy after strategy by making the best use of the game’s knowledge until….Even though it is supposed to be a Yuri game, he, who was just an annoyance, somehow got surrounded by the heroines.

“… are? Where is the Yuri?”

This is a story about a man who was supposed to be an annoyance until he destroyed the world of the Yuri game in another sense.

It seems like you're discussing a situation in a visual novel where the main character (MC) unexpectedly介入 (barges in) a scene, interrupting a family dinner, and involving themselves in a romantic subplot with the little sister. You're questioning the logic of the MC's actions, considering it's supposed to be a linear, predetermined story.

The confusion arises because, if the plot is fixed and the little sister's romantic ending is positive, it's unexpected for the MC to disrupt the family dynamic, especially if they're aware of the story's progression. However, you also mention that the MC's behavior could indicate they have personal reasons beyond just following the plot, such as their love for yuri.

In your comparison to other stories where the protagonist is aware of the plot, the MC's lack of surprise suggests that the game might not be a straightforward adaptation, which adds to the mystery of their actions.

The character interactions and predictability of the story seem to be a point of dissatisfaction for you, describing them as stereotypical and boring. You find the MC annoying due to their complaints despite knowing their elf master's strength.

In summary, the MC's intervention in the dinner scene appears to defy expectations given the established plot, and their actions raise questions about their motivations and the nature of the story. The story's formulaic elements and lack of surprises contribute to your frustration with the narrative.

The story had promise, perhaps bordering on a 3 out of 5 or at its peak, a 3.5, if one enjoyed the concept of battle academies and immersive gaming worlds. However, the main character's unlikability significantly detracts from the overall experience. The protagonist relies solely on their Yuri-centric focus, constantly narrating their thoughts on protecting it. While the Yuri theme might have been a running joke, it becomes grating when it dominates the character's thoughts to the point of melancholy. The series has the foundation for engaging content, but unfortunately, it squanders its potential by repeatedly relying on the same tired gag, hoping for a different reaction each time, but ultimately falling flat.

This is remarkable, and perhaps unexpectedly, it's due to the main character. The MC possesses a comedic charm, his mind having become utterly consumed by yuri-related thoughts. The dynamic that drives the story is the clash between the MC – whose impaired cognition limits him to solely thinking about yuri – and the world around him, which actively attempts to mold him into a harem protagonist.

This work bears some resemblance to "Magical Explorer," but it falls short compared to that series. My primary disappointment stems from the underdeveloped female leads, who receive insufficient screen time and often lack depth. The protagonists' rapid affection for the main character feels contrived, as there isn't much genuine character growth or distinct personalities. Characters like Rei, for instance, are barely present in the story, appearing only occasionally.

Additionally, the excessive explanation of magic and related concepts can be overwhelming, and the world-building can verge on absurdity. The main character's erratic behavior, including his obsession with Yuri, self-inflicted hits, and incessant shouting, adds to the unrealistic aspect.

While the basic premise and setting have potential, the story requires substantial refinement, particularly in fleshing out the characters and providing a more balanced narrative.

The quality is decent, but it doesn't cater to specific preferences. If you're looking for a serious storyline, this might not be your cup of tea. Similarly, if romance is your primary interest, you might find it lacking. What stands out to me as engaging are the plot, the occasional comedy elements, and the mysterious aspect. The action sequences are average, and the romance isn't particularly deep, but other aspects are enjoyable.

The book offers lighthearted amusement with a complex protagonist who, in a good-natured way, serves as a source of playful teasing. The endearing characters and brisk pacing create a sense of rooting for the main character, whose foolish antics often lead to entertaining situations. I thoroughly enjoyed the reading experience.

It was decent; it had its enjoyable moments, but can you believe me when I say it reminds me a lot of Magical Explorer? Let me clarify, I'm not comparing them directly, but if you just give it a read, you'll understand what I mean - the atmosphere, the storytelling, the in-depth explanations, and scattered legendary characters; it's like MagiEx with a Yuri twist.

The main character, being entirely driven by his desires, wouldn't even hesitate to accept anything for the sake of Yuri and related themes. Now, I haven't read beyond Chapter 17 myself, but I assure you, once you hit that point, my point will be clearer.

I initially anticipated another captivating novel akin to Magical Explorer, but unfortunately, it transformed into a slapstick comedy that doesn't mesh well with the storytelling style I prefer. Moreover, the main character fails to evolve; his personality remains stagnant from Volume 1, which starts to become grating.
