“Pretend to be my lover and join the social circle.”
Selena, the top star that had the entire world’s attention, was suddenly warped to Northern Duke’s land during an accident while filming. Kalcion, the Northern Duke that saved her from the infernal beasts, offers Selena a chance to go back home in return for collecting information in various social circles by pretending to be his lover. Selena quickly accepts Kalcion’s offer, but…
“Why in the world can’t you do this!?”
“Don’t you think that the answer to that should be obvious to you, the actress, not to me, the duke?”
There was a critical problem. The Northern Duke’s acting skills are horrible!
“…Let’s change the plan. I’ll seduce you instead.”
And thus the contractual relationship between the two started. Will Kalcion’s acting skill improve first, or will he start to have true feelings for Selena instead?

Great! Oh, goodness, I was worried there might be a shift in genre after Chapter 100. Jerryel, my darling, is a fantastic character - she's a genuine appreciator of cool people and holds a special place in my heart as my favorite.
The antagonist, however, felt underdeveloped. I actually appreciate the author not going for the cliché of portraying him as a pitiful, helpless baby – it keeps the female characters grounded and relatable.
During the earlier stages of the series, up until Chapter 80, it was all about the girls going all-out in their battles. Our protagonist, despite having a similar energy to Eris from KMSimulator, is less clinically depressed, which is a refreshing change. He embodies the trope I adore – a scary yet charming character, with a possessive streak that's common in K-dramas but not overly excessive.
Overall, I'd rate this closer to a 4.5 out of 5, but I accidentally input 4 instead – my mistake! \\(^-^)/ - 4ryuna_
The reason for this review is, of course, the fantastic translation work. Hats off to the team! Their website is sleek too, though it could use some improvements – thank you! As I near the end of the novel, the translation is almost complete, so I'll update my thoughts later."
It irks me that she often passively relies on the Duke's intervention during arguments with the ladies, despite being placed in a spying role within their social circle. The Duke brought her there to observe and gather intel, yet her lack of knowledge seems to hinder her effectiveness. She's supposed to embody an evil persona, but her actions don't reflect that. Given her background as a modern woman and an actress, one would hope she'd understand the importance of gathering information to catch a culprit. While expecting the FL to be overly intelligent might be unrealistic, a more logical storyline would involve some level of preparation, rather than merely focusing on eating, bathing, and sleeping.
