Though not a conventional couple, the Chu character (ML's secondary love interest) and the maid shared a tragic tale too. I wished for them to find happiness, but the constant interference of the crown prince and Chu's stepmother/fiancée complicated matters. Even if they didn't end up together, it's disheartening that the author might still have the main character struggle to let go of the FL.

She should understand the potential risks it poses. In summary, if you seek a serious plot, this might not be the right choice. 'The Empress' Livestream' offers a more suitable read, where the female lead, a competent general, possesses genuine qualifications for the role.
