If you're a fan of OP main characters (MC) and harem dynamics, this is an entertaining read. Initially, it's enjoyable as the MC's journey progresses. However, a spoiler follows:

Throughout the series, you might notice that clearing even one dungeon becomes nearly impossible for a regular human or the MC's heroic classmates. The enemies they encounter are absurdly overpowered, leaving you questioning why these individuals were summoned at all. It raises doubts about the overall strength of humans, considering they are weaker than their summoned counterparts. Additionally, despite the demons' prowess, humans historically held sway over territories, with beastmen cowering in fear. The demons only seem to act after the MC's arrival. In essence, without the MC's accidental acquisition of immense power, it appears that humanity's fate would be sealed, regardless of how many heroes they summon.

To be truthful, the novel initially seemed very promising, filled with anticipation. However, it didn't quite align with my preferences and left me feeling disappointed in various aspects. The protagonist's journey began as an angsty tale of betrayal and revenge, reminiscent of Dungeon Seeker, a genre I actually enjoy. But then, he gained unexpected power and discovered secrets within the dungeon, shifting gears to conquer them all.

The focus on his vendetta against a classmate seemed to fade away, as he underwent a transformation into an even more moody and edgy character. He found a vampire girlfriend and manipulated other relationships in a cringe-worthy manner, assembling a harem. While I can tolerate harem stories, this particular one pushed me close to dropping it – but it wasn't the sole reason.

A major plot twist came when he decided to elevate his classmates to become overpowered allies, completely contradicting the initial premise I was drawn to. That was the breaking point for me. In the end, I gave up on the novel and would rate it as only 1 out of 5 – one of the biggest time-wasters I've encountered.

"I must say, my visit here was truly rewarding. I started reading after the protagonist rescued the people from the dungeon, and I was pleasantly surprised by how exceptional the work is. It surpassed my expectations. The main character, quite merciless, eliminates anyone who stands in their way, which adds a unique edge to the story. The plot is excellently explained, and reading it has given me a deeper understanding of justice. Even after four months, I can confidently say that it's a compelling read, and opinions may vary depending on one's perspective."

I enjoy the narrative, the humor, and the additional content. Don't blindly follow others' advice to skip it; remember, opinions are subjective. Give it a chance by reading it first and form your own decision. It's puzzling how some people feel the need to dictate what others should read without considering if it aligns with their preferences.

I thoroughly enjoyed the original narrative; it had a pleasant pace, and the progression of the protagonist's and his party's growth was well-paced. Honestly, I find "Arifureta After" even more captivating, particularly the current storyline which is both thrilling and exhilarating. I'm eagerly anticipating the conclusion. Moreover, the Tortus Travel Journal chapters bring immense enjoyment due to the fantastic character development that has unfolded throughout the series. While I must admit that the narrative initially takes some time to settle into its stride with its non-linear timeline, overall, it's an engaging experience.

I apologize for the tardiness of my review, but I believe it's crucial to share my thoughts despite the delay. The book earns an average score of around 8.7/10. Initially, the main storyline and character dynamics, including the protagonist, might seem uneven, but if you can set aside judgment and read each chapter sequentially, it offers a decent level of entertainment, particularly towards the end with its world-building and post-story elements.

For those seeking a light-hearted journey from zero to hero, complete with a touch of dark humor that evolves into a comedic take, this would be a suitable pick. However, it's not recommended for those who prefer heavier, serious narratives, dislike meek protagonists, or are critical by nature.

On the other hand, if you're simply looking for an enjoyable read to pass the time or appreciate Japanese literature, this book definitely fits the bill.

"It's actually a rather compelling narrative. The main issue lies in occasional arbitrary plot elements that can disrupt the flow of the story."

I comprehend why some individuals might have had reservations. The opening portrayed a grim narrative, but it's important to note that the book wasn't actually about seeking revenge. The driving force behind his actions and pursuit was simply "to go home," an unyielding goal that many could relate to. However, the sudden shift to a romantic comedy genre might have detracted from the overall impact.

Truth be told, I personally find the supporting stories more engaging than the primary plot. They offer a glimpse into everyday life, much like "Death March," providing a deeper connection with the characters and their experiences.

The protagonist initially portrayed himself as weak, untalented, and timid but not foolish. Through a life-threatening event, he gained immense power, not due to mere luck, but through his own trials and tribulations. Now, as a vengeful and intense character, the narrative unfolds with thrilling adventures. Although there's a hint of a harem aspect, the author maintains a balance by centering the protagonist's affections on one particular girl, making it more acceptable for readers.

The story is filled with cunning villains, but the protagonist's resilience against their schemes appeals to readers who dislike overly naive or easily manipulated characters. However, the review deducts one star after about 100 chapters, as they feel some parts拖沓冗长. Overall, it's an engaging read with a well-developed plot.

Alright, I enjoy isekai novels, and personally, I found the story engaging despite a few dull moments. It falls under the fantasy dark genre, with Hajime being quite OP, often surviving various challenges. However, there were some tough encounters in each arc or volume, particularly in the second labyrinth, which was more of a joke and frustrating.

One notable challenge was when Freed ambushed Hajime, pushing him close to death, and later, his class was kidnapped, including his "daughter" Myu (or possibly 'u') and her mother, resulting in the team's devastation. Yue, his lover, even fell under the control of the疯狂的神祇 Ehito. Despite going mad and eliminating one of Ehito's followers, Aruvehit, Hajime faced even greater peril. The fanatic followers of the gods, using them for the mad god's amusement, added a darker aspect to the story, reflecting the real-world potential of extreme devotion.

The translation improved significantly after Chapter 130 or so, thanks to ElementalColbat receiving assistance from bakape*vert. Overall, I'd say this novel is quite good for me. That's all.

This is an averagely unremarkable novel within its isekai genre, and it doesn't stand out much for that reason. Nevertheless, it's not as terrible as people claim. There are minor inconsistencies in the plot, such as Yue reciting incantations at different times, which would be forgivable if she were imitating them the first time. The issue arises because Yue possesses the ability to manipulate magic directly, akin to a monster or a spell-less mage.

The main character's actions often contradict his stated beliefs, and the narrative attempts to justify these discrepancies by suggesting he has ulterior motives or plans to exploit the outcomes. However, this would be more convincing if the author showed evidence of such planning beforehand rather than trying to retrofit it after the fact.

To put it simply, this novel has flaws as vast as Jupiter. I concur with most readers that after Volume 1, the quality takes a nosedive. The criticisms mentioned by others, though some might be biased, address common issues they've pointed out (like a lack of consistent development). It's true that the author was pioneering the overpowered protagonist genre during its early days, which influenced the trend. While I appreciate the originality of his first volume, I believe his pre-planned ideas depleted after that, leading to reliance on clichés to fill the narrative gaps.

Now, let me address the readers on Novel Updates. I commend your discerning nature; those who visit this platform are highly knowledgeable and can spot the flaws effortlessly, often having honed their skills through anime and manga. However, I remember my own journey as a beginner, where I enjoyed some "so bad, it's good" shows despite feeling unsure. As I gained more experience, I realized those shows were indeed poor. Similarly, for you at Novel Updates, the majority of you have a keen eye for inconsistencies and contradictions. It's a pleasure to have such a community of experts.

To the minority who might be new to the site, I urge you to examine the flaws pointed out here against the novel. Trust me, the problems are significant and might not be apparent while reading. And don't mistake OP elements as the sole reason for the novel's shortcomings; rather, it's the lack of competence from the author that makes it stand out negatively. Remember, "bad" writing isn't solely due to overpowered characters; it's the author's inability to craft a well-rounded story that counts. So, when evaluating, always trace the root cause, and you'll find the real culprit: incompetent storytelling.
