Their strengths perfectly balance each other's weaknesses, making them an ideal pair. While some stories have Danmei elements that can be slightly irritating, this one fortunately avoids that. The palace politics alone will keep you engaged and excited!

This novel truly deserves the glowing 5-star rating from readers. It's been ages since I've found a transmigration story enjoyable. The plot lacks forced sexual content, and the chemistry between the characters feels genuine. I appreciate how their love story unfolds gradually, making their eventual union all the more satisfying. Although I initially sought translated chapters for the ending, I ended up reading the Manhua Translation (MTL) version from beginning to end. I especially loved the modern world side stories. The latest translated chapter I followed was 198, but once I started, I couldn't resist reading until the very last installment.

I delved into the human-translated content initially, but later switched to the machine-translated version, which was quite accessible. The dynamics between the main characters were heartwarming, and the balance between plot and romance was perfect. The political intrigue at court was engaging without being overly convoluted or unrealistic. It's a low-key, enjoyable read with minimal stress.

Lacking visual references for the protagonists, it took me some time to visualize their appearances, which led to a bit of a mental exercise, hehe. Nevertheless, I would wholeheartedly recommend this book.

I've tried to source the extended content, but while the listed ending on this platform suggests there are 13 extras, other websites only have up to chapter 125. I'm eagerly searching for those missing chapters, as I'm dying to continue reading. I am currently reading the raw chapters, and I must say, I'm enjoying this much more than 'How to Survive as a Villain.' Misunderstandings are handled beautifully in this story.

Surprisingly, I find myself captivated by this narrative and can read it in Chinese without losing interest due to my slower pace. It's delightful witnessing the characters' growing affection for each other, even if they remain oblivious, which is a refreshing take compared to many others where the main character (MC) is clueless until forced by the author.

The male lead (ML) stands out with his well-developed personality, far from the usual one-dimensional stoic and cold character who gradually warms up to the MC. He's an esteemed general, proud and resilient despite his disability. His childhood wild streak and the adorable way he stammers from jealousy make him incredibly endearing.

What truly impresses me is that his disability never diminishes his dignity. The way he supports the MC is simply heartwarming. The pacing of the plot keeps me engaged, but it's the gradual development of their relationship that steals the show – a change from the typical last-minute revelation of love.

I sincerely hope this gem gets a full translation, so those who cannot read Chinese can enjoy it as well, because it truly deserves a wider audience.
