this is just another one of billion survival game dungeon type of webtoons I came across, but if you want to read at least a decent writing, do not read this. Later on after chapter 41, the author seemed to break his flow and pacing and the overall flow of the story became disjointed and confused due to how the author suddenly skipped the timeline and then go back to the current timeline again back and forth. I heard that the future timeline is actually the present timeline, and the present timeline is the flashback, if you are confused after reading this, so do I. It is that bad. Go read another random medicore webtoon that has similar premise at the very least they didn't mess it up hardcore like this series.
Progress: c.62
The overall arc of the story might be fine, but the characters and dialogue are poorly written. Most of the fights are poorly made and you feel very little tension in the action since there are basically no stakes. You know he wins and can't be hurt. You are sometimes told he is having one difficulty or another, but it isn't conveyed convincingly. It just makes for a boring read.
action is smooth, MC has ambiguous disorder, and the survival aspect shines through as he methodically overcomes each challenge.
i’m not going to say handwave-y things don’t happen, but from a dungeon action manhwa this is exactly what i want.
As the subject states, the story in general is too hard to follow. The timeline goes back and forth, which makes it hard to know who is where at certain point.
If anyone has knowledge, please let me know what the timeline is....
They ruined a good thing when they stopped telling the story in chronological order.
The whole thing of narrating the story out of sequence and needlessly jumping back and forth between different points in time seemingly at random just made it a pain to follow and threw any previous attempt at coherent storytelling out the window. Suddenly jumping from the middle of one scene, to something completely unrelated that happens presumably years later in the story entirely without warning and without any continuity whatsoever is just messed up. It feels like you suddenly find yourself reading different manhwa that got accidentally uploaded on the wrong page.
In addition, the pacing is just awful. In the 'climb the tower' story, they will steadily progress through several floors, then spend several chapters on a single floor (endless eight, anyone?), then completely skip several floors, then asspull plot-armor from the floors they didn't cover.
Logically, if they're willing to spend so many chapters in one place, why can't they even spare one for all the others!?
I wouldn't mind following a slow and steady story about grinding. That's what this was at the start, and it was actually well done. But following a story that has no idea what it wants to do with the pacing and also chronologically jumps around all the time is just painful.
It was fun at first, but betrayed our trust shortly after. If you haven't started reading this yet: don't. It's not worth your time.
Reading this manga is kind of like watching someone play Dark Souls on max difficulty. Boring!
The constant flip flopping from present to past events drags it down tremendously as well. Hell, we're on chapter 70 and the MC is just clearing the 13th floor in flashbacks!
One of the most unoriginal manhwa's i've ever wasted my life reading to ch. 52. Generic isekai + tower floors + constellations tropes.
The protag's main gear is low quality CGI. Even if the art wasn't so awful the writing would still make this a waste of time to read. Usually manhwas borrow ideas but this manhwa seems to be obssessed with ripping off as much as they can from every other manhwa's beginning chapters instead of going anywhere with any kind of plot.
The author has no idea how to create character development beyond naming and killing random people and you end up wondering when anything origonal will start happening in this.
Your average manhwa with player systems, dungeons etc. Decent art but progress is slow that the author started including future scenes in between chapters to probably to keep people interested.
As in the tilte mainstory is the MC clearing the tower floor by floor and no time skip on MC leaving like in other stories so only time will tell if we ever see him outside the tower, ends after he clears the last floor or gets axed
