Kitase Kazuhiro is an ordinary salary man who always leaves the office on time. Though this is Japan, so perhaps he's not really ordinary after all. What's truly strange comes after that; Every night, he takes a shower, changes into his pajamas and has a good night's sleep. Then he dreams of a fantasy world, and only wakes up when he dies or sleeps in that world. One day, he's killed together with his elf friend, after stumbling onto a dragon's lair.
Fantasy resident winds up in the modern world with the MC as a guide/chaperone? Neat. Fun reversal on most Isekai.
But then it decides to add more characters and focus on the fantasy world with an incredibly haphazard pace. It brings up serious elements but then ignores them because the author wants to keep it lighthearted.
Most recently a chapter ended on a cliffhanger in which the elf literally got abducted to be a sex slave and the mc was killed. The next chapter? Oh, they solved it off screen with no consequences or lasting effects and now they're going to Disneyland with someone complicit in that crime! She's a waifu, so it's okay!
