Fantasy resident winds up in the modern world with the MC as a guide/chaperone? Neat. Fun reversal on most Isekai.
But then it decides to add more characters and focus on the fantasy world with an incredibly haphazard pace. It brings up serious elements but then ignores them because the author wants to keep it lighthearted.
Most recently a chapter ended on a cliffhanger in which the elf literally got abducted to be a sex slave and the mc was killed. The next chapter? Oh, they solved it off screen with no consequences or lasting effects and now they're going to Disneyland with someone complicit in that crime! She's a waifu, so it's okay!
