Jesus... seeing the detail in the city they are, how everything really reflects a city that would be cold all year around, the personality and identity, done with such beauty... I can always see the breath of life in this series.

I want Gibbs to stay with the crew... but he is right until he can entirely recover and adapt to not having a hand, and even then... the ship needs a completely functional bosun.

Niko can be hotheaded, but he has always been up close to keep the crew safe.

Great story. The plot is well crafted and executed. The characters are interesting, not extraordinary but not cliché either. Their personality, struggles and relationships makes them real and allow us to get emotionally attached to everyone. I like the power system and the need of cooperation it requires.
The ennemies are real threat and their alienness really well written. The universe of the island is crazy and not easy to understand (I don't know crap about bouddhism) yet it is not a problem to enjoy the story.
The ending is good.

I recommend for everyone who wants to read a deadly adventurous tale. Be ready for a lot of actions and losses.
