Well he said in the first chapter he is know as the strongest already, not those type of misunderstanding you said. He just can't grow stronger with his crest so he reincarnate himself.

This is quite good. The stories are good and the character developments are good. The concept character for the MC is quite fascinating. The girls are decent, but Kuro is the best for me, especially for her character development. The only thing I would complain about is that the ending feels a little bit rushed. Overall, a great read, 8.5/10.

Also, if you're worried about the harem tag, the MC only loves Kuro.
