    Truly, the words of historical supervisor of the manga reflects the best thing about 'Jin'—that each and every character has a living 'gaze' that keeps you immersed as a member of the period.
    Not only is the manga excellent as a time-travel/medical drama, its historical accuracy and rich political background is to die for. Characters, some if you are in touch with japanese media will be very familiar, are depicted half-romanticized half-realistic.
    It is excellent all around, is a long ride but a short experience, and if you truly are hesitating I beg of you to read this manga.
