Shiki

Nothing ever happens in the village of Sotoba. It is seen as nothing more than a backwater town by its most outgoing and fashionable resident, Megumi Shimizu. She dreams of living in the city, far from the villagers and their old-fashioned ways. So when a new European-style house appears on a hill in the village, Megumi assumes its residents must be sophisticated and cultured, leading her to visit them. However, Megumi doesn't return home that night. After an exhaustive search, she is found the next day, weak and anemic, with strange bite marks on her body. But Megumi is just the first victim in what will soon become an epidemic in Sotoba, as the bodies start piling up. The village doctor, Toshio Ozaki, along with the priest Seishin Muroi, the loner Natsuno Yuuki, and the Tanaka siblings Kaori and Akira, begin investigating the mysterious deaths. But the answer to their predicament may be more than any of them can handle, for soon the dead could outnumber the living. The series "Shiki" has been licensed in Poland by Waneko, with the first volume set to be released on September 10, 2017.
