A Dim Sum master hailing from San Sei, he is also known as "Steel Staff Shell." In his twenties, he holds the title of the youngest Dim Sum Master. He always carries a heavy steel staff, which serves dual purposes as both a weapon and a cooking tool. At the end of the staff are several yellow stars, each representing a Super Chef he has defeated in battle. After losing to Mao in a cooking challenge, he marked his staff with a black star, symbolizing his defeat. His ultimate goal is to replace that black star with a yellow one.
Shell is often described as a nomad, frequently crossing paths with Mao and his companions during their journeys. From a young age, he embarked on travels across China to deepen his knowledge of cooking. Shell maintains an optimistic outlook on life and tends to reprimand Shirou, harboring a negative impression of him since an incident where Shirou unintentionally served him a poor dish.
Besides being highly athletic, Shell possesses considerable mathematical prowess. Later, he joins Mao and the others on their quest to find the Legendary Cooking Utensils. His name in Hokkien is Ji Long.
