A handsome 16-year-old genius chef, Fei is often regarded as more knowledgeable than Mao. However, he stands out as Mao's true rival in the culinary world. Unlike the fiery and passionate Mao, Fei is calm and collected, always handling tasks with precision and organization. He first appeared as one of Mao's competitors during the Super Chef tournament. Despite his seemingly cold demeanor, Fei assisted Mao several times throughout the competition. Together, they made history by simultaneously passing the rigorous Super Chef test. It was revealed that Fei knew about Mao's mother and viewed her as his savior.
Fei's past is marked by tragedy. As a child, his family was murdered by a mysterious organization that also kidnapped him. They subjected him to intense training to perfect his cooking skills, inflicting daily torturous exercises and physical punishments for any disobedience. When he finally escaped, he collapsed in front of Kikkaro Restaurant. There, Pai found him, treated his wounds, and nourished him back to health with herbal soup. Before meeting Pai, Fei associated cooking with immense pain. But through her guidance, he discovered that cooking could bring joy to people. After learning from her, he embarked on a journey across China.
When Mao encountered Fei again, Fei had become a chef for the Dark Cooking Society and was poised to become the Head Chef of the Imperial Kitchen. Shocked by Fei's apparent turn to the dark side, Mao challenged him to a cooking duel judged by the Emperor himself. Mao emerged victorious and uncovered that Fei had been manipulated by the Underground faction. After being healed by the Legendary Cooking Utensils, Fei confessed that the Dark Cooking Society had drugged him, turning him into their pawn in a plot to dominate China. Upon realizing that the same organization responsible for his family's demise was the Dark Cooking Society, Fei sought revenge, only to be captured and drugged once more.
Despite his manipulation, Fei's actions were still harmful. General Lee ordered Fei to protect Mao during his quest for the Legendary Cooking Utensils, subtly showing leniency towards him. Consequently, Fei ended up traveling with Mao's group, embarking on new adventures together.
