The relationship between Takashi and Rei faced further strain when he had to kill Rei's boyfriend after he turned into a zombie. Their bond was eventually mended. Takashi's unwavering determination to protect Rei and others earned him respect and admiration as a leader, despite his own insecurities. He frequently acts impulsively, risking his life on whims to save or protect someone. Similar to Saeko, Takashi admitted finding an exhilarating thrill in killing "them".
Initially portrayed as a poor student who often skips classes, Takashi has proven to be highly dependable, someone all characters can rely on. Saya Takagi once remarked that he and Kohta are the most likely to break under the ongoing pressure. Like the rest of the group, Takashi is determined to locate his parents and ensure their safety.
