Shuuji is a professor at a Tokyo art university and serves as Hagumi's overprotective cousin. Growing up together, Shuuji became the only real father figure Hagu had. He embraced this role with dedication, ensuring Hagu's happiness and taking great pride in her exceptional artistic talent. Regarding his teaching career, Shuuji was once a student at the same college. Despite not being a talented artist himself, his talented friends and roommates, Rika and Harada, often sought his help with their classwork. Shuuji is a wise man who can offer sound advice when needed but also tends to get nervous and stutters at times.
