Shino is one of the Shinigami who replaces Zennosuke Kurumadani as the guardian of the Karakura Town area. Appearance: Shino has dark hair and wears a standard Shinigami Shihakusho. She also sports a piece of dark fabric on top of her head. Personality: She is quite rude and tomboyish, with a strong personality that often comes across through yelling. Shino tries to bring Ryunosuke out of his shell, constantly reminding him not to be too soft. She is sensitive about comments regarding her flat chest and tends to punch anyone who makes such remarks. Plot: The Thousand-Year Blood War arc On their first day as guardians of Karakura Town, Shino spots Ryunosuke and greets him. However, Ryunosuke, being very sleepy, looks the wrong way, prompting Shino to slap him. She tells him it's time to go to the Human World, but Ryunosuke admits he's scared. Shino reassures him there's no reason to fear since she’s with him, but Ryunosuke remains unconvinced. Frustrated, she yells at him to stop being timid and have more faith in himself. She advises him to be more confident, which leads Ryunosuke to jokingly comment on her lack of chest. In response, Shino punches him in the face. The duo arrives in Karakura Town with Kurumadani, who offers them some words of encouragement before leaving. Shino instructs Ryunosuke to split up: she will patrol the north while he takes the south. During her patrol, Shino is attacked by a group of Hollows and is found in their grasp by Ryunosuke. They are rescued by Kurosaki Ichigo, and although Shino recovers quickly, Ryunosuke takes two days to wake up. When he finally does, Shino shows relief but immediately punishes him for taking so long.
