Senjumaru Shutara is a member of the Royal Guard, holding the title "Great Weave Guard."

Senjumaru has a playful side, providing a fanfare with several musical instruments when the Royal Guards land in Soul Society and taunting Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Despite this, she remains focused on their mission, diligently seeing it through while other Royal Guard members converse among themselves and with the Gotei 13.

She can also be quite forceful, even threatening. For instance, she threatened to mutilate Renji if he did not remove his fundoshi so she could accurately measure his body for new shihakushou.
