Birthday: March 20
He was born into a noble family but chose to run away and live in the Gray Terminal, eventually setting out to sea on his own. Twelve years before the present storyline, he was a childhood friend of Ace, and later Luffy, forming a bond so strong that they considered themselves "brothers." Along with Ace and Luffy, Sabo's dream was to become a pirate for the freedom it offered, and they planned to set sail at age 17.
Dressrosa Arc Spoilers:
Despite their plans, Sabo decided to set sail earlier than Ace and Luffy. His boat was destroyed by a Celestial Dragon shortly after, and he was believed to have died. However, Monkey D. Dragon saved him, and he suffered from post-traumatic amnesia, forgetting everything, even his name. He joined the revolutionaries for the time being.
After the events at Marineford, when he read about Ace's death, Sabo suddenly regained his memory and fainted, crying. Upon regaining consciousness, he resolved to find the Devil Fruit, Mera-Mera no Mi. Sabo is the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, the adopted brother of Monkey D. Luffy and Portgas D. Ace, and the son of Outlook III. Recognized as the "No. 2" of the Revolutionary Army, he became the second-in-command under Dragon. In chapter 744, Sabo eats the Mera-Mera no Mi and becomes its new user.
Egghead Arc Spoilers:
On the fourth day of the Levely, Sabo and his group fought Fujitora and Ryokugyu to rescue Kuma. The mission was successful, and they escaped from Mary Geoise. Sabo was also accused of assassinating Nefertari Cobra, the king of the Alabasta Kingdom, during this process.
During the rescue mission, Sabo got separated from the other commanders and went into hiding in Lulusia Kingdom. He managed to contact the Revolutionary Army but didn't use a White Den Den Mushi to jam his signals due to time constraints, leading the Marines to intercept the message. Sabo affirmed to his fellow revolutionaries that he wasn't responsible for Cobra's death. However, before he could fully report his findings about the Empty Throne, Im destroyed Lulusia, and the Five Elders ordered the Marines to forget the interception, claiming that Lulusia never existed.
