Franky is a 34-year-old cyborg and the shipwright for the Straw Hat Pirates, being their third most recent recruit. He made his first appearance during the Water 7 arc. Originally known as "Cutty Flam," he was part of "Tom's Workers."
Franky's dream is to build a ship capable of reaching the end of the Grand Line. The ship he constructed for the Straw Hats, currently in use by them, embodies this dream, though it will only be fully realized when they reach the end.
He often acts tough and can get easily angered, but he also has a soft side, frequently bursting into tears or playing a song when moved by sad stories. His flamboyant attitude is one of his most notable traits, often shouting 'SUPER' when happy or incorporating it into his speech. He also has a signature pose that he frequently uses.
Franky is quick to defend others, such as the Franky Family and Nico Robin, and takes swift action if his friends are harmed.
