Ririko Kagome is a bespectacled math teacher at Yokai Academy and a lamia introduced in chapter 12 of the initial serialization. Appearing innocent and deeply invested in her students' academic success, she offers private tutoring sessions to anyone interested, albeit with a catch (Kurumu mentions that Ririko tends to go overboard with her teaching methods and envies her ample bosom). Consequently, she exploits her abilities to siphon off her students' emotions in exchange for knowledge, facilitated by a flower-like appendage on her tail. Additionally, she seems to have a penchant for S&M attire, asserting it makes her male pupils "work harder," although this may merely be a reflection of her distorted mindset.
In both the manga and anime series, Ririko endeavors to subjugate Tsukune when he is compelled to attend her tutoring sessions to improve his failing math grades, perceiving Moka as an obstacle to his studies (she misinterprets Moka's attempt to drink Tsukune's blood as interference). However, when Moka attempts to rescue him, Tsukune momentarily breaks free from Ririko's control long enough to remove Moka's rosary, culminating in Moka's vampire form defeating her (Tsukune notes she received a two-week suspension, indicating she would eventually return to work, unlike Ishigami).
She reappears later in chapter 19, seemingly without any lingering resentment, to alert Tsukune and Moka about Okuto Kotsubo. While she no longer harbors a grudge against Moka in the manga, her animosity persists in the anime, evident when she tries to take Moka hostage but is thwarted by Nekonome dressed in a catwoman costume. Furthermore, her anime persona is marginally more deviant than her manga counterpart. It is crucial to recognize that unlike other antagonists, she is not inherently malevolent but rather fervently dedicated to the educational advancement of the academy's students and the hierarchical dynamics between educators and pupils.
