She assumes Moka stands in her way. After Tsukune convinces the unsealed Moka to spare her, Kurumu becomes infatuated with him and decides he will be her "mate of fate," befriending both Tsukune and Moka.
Though she continues to tease and try to seduce Tsukune, it's evident she genuinely cares for him, risking her life for him multiple times in the anime and manga. In the manga, Kurumu is depicted as kind-hearted, loving her rivals like sisters, comforting and supporting them during their sad moments and defending them when they're in danger. This trait is less emphasized in the anime, focusing more on her flirtatious nature, yet her kindness remains, revealing her innocence. A recurring gag involves her using her breasts to seduce Tsukune, causing his nose to bleed and making him suffocate. She also tries lacing baked sweets with love potions, though they never reach him. Additionally, she frequently interrupts tender moments between Tsukune and Moka by appearing unexpectedly.
In an omake, Kurumu reveals a serious weakness for sweets, once eating poisoned cookies meant for Moka. The incident seems to have given her some control over this habit, as her love-laced sweets remain intact whenever shown.
