papaneel

Papaneel is a fishman who resided on Fishman Island during the time of Otohime. He was initially depicted committing robbery to support his family. When Otohime intervened, Papaneel attempted to shoot her. However, Otohime evaded his shots and struck him with a slap. After knocking him down, she lectured him on the mistakes he was making. Moved by Otohime's genuine concern, Papaneel vowed to reform and improve his life.
