Lady Oyakata, referred to as "My Lady" by Ruby, is a century-old witch residing on Witch's Knoll and serves as Ruby's guardian. She harbors intense disdain for humans due to the prolonged suffering she and her fellow witches endured as humans expanded their territories. Seeking vengeance, she plans to obliterate the nearby city with her army of monstrous plants after developers threaten to turn her home into a garbage dump. Despite Tsukune's pleas for help, she adamantly refuses, aiming to protect her home at all costs, even attempting to kill Moka until Tsukune removes her rosario amidst an onslaught of Hanabake plants.
During her confrontation with Inner Moka, she employs a forbidden spell to merge herself with the Hanabake plants. Although she gains the upper hand by absorbing Moka's vampiric powers, she momentarily falters when Ruby injures herself shielding Moka from a fatal blow, subsequently absorbing Ruby to harness her powers. Her defeat comes swiftly when Moka impales the crystal in her spellbook using Ruby's wand, leading to her demise in the ensuing explosion. In a dream sequence, as Ruby carries her away, she confesses her true feelings, expressing her desire for Ruby not to be separated from humans.
In the Anime adaptation, she perishes before Ruby encounters the Newspaper Club but realizes the folly of her vendetta against humans prior to her death. Her body remains in their house, causing Ruby's mind to fracture due to her inability to cope with the loss; a split personality uses her image to issue commands to Ruby. However, it is presumed that her spirit saved Ruby from the monster plant explosion, keeping her afloat above the ocean waves until Gin and the Bus Driver rescued her.
Much of Oyakata's magic centers around flora, enabling her to extend vines from her fingers as offensive weapons. Similar to Ruby, she can employ ravens as familiars for communication purposes. Upon merging with the Hanabake plants, she acquires regenerative abilities, rendering physical attacks ineffective. She can also absorb other living creatures to utilize their powers. Nonetheless, this spell is regarded as a last resort, as once transformed, reverting to her original state becomes impossible.
