Noonsa (Japanese: ヌンサ Romaji: nunsa; also sometimes spelled as Nunsa) was a fishman, possessing the body of a fish and the limbs of a human. He was one of Zelgadiss Graywords' top four henchmen. When Lina Inverse refused to disclose any information about the Philosopher's Stone to Zelgadiss, Zolf summoned Noonsa and instructed him to kiss Lina. This idea horrified and disgusted Lina. Noonsa gave Lina what both Dilgear and Zolf referred to as a "deep kiss," which involved sucking on her head inside his mouth. Lina retaliated by hitting him. Initially, in the novel, Zolf intended for Noonsa to rape Lina, but this was toned down to a kiss in both the anime adaptation and the English translation of the novel.
Later, when Zelgadiss helped Lina escape from the castle, Noonsa observed from the water and attempted a surprise attack on her. He felt betrayed and rushed at Lina, crashing into a wall. Recovering quickly, he launched several thorn-like projectiles at her. Just as Lina felt hopeless, Zelgadiss intervened by trapping Noonsa in an air bubble and incinerating him with a Fireball spell.
Some of Dilgear's followers later discovered Noonsa's charred remains and brought them back to their leader. They then consumed Noonsa's body, infuriating the wolf-troll hybrid. In the manga version, Noonsa did not have a romantic involvement with Lina. Instead, Zelgadiss ordered him to steal the Philosopher's Stone. After expelling all his scales, Gourry Gabriev killed Noonsa by slicing him in half and eating him.
Interestingly, while serving under Zelgadiss, Rezo considered Noonsa a superior spellcaster compared to his great-grandson. Zelgadiss seemed unaware of this fact, perhaps unsurprisingly, since Noonsa never demonstrated his supposed superior sorcery skills in any of his appearances across different media.
