The Golden Lord of Darkness, the Mother of Everything—these are merely a few names attributed to "her." The feminine designation is arbitrary; the Lord of Nightmares transcends gender and even form. In truth, she embodies the Sea of Chaos, which is her essence. While one might describe her as the "mind" or "will" of this chaos, such descriptions only attempt to encapsulate something beyond our comprehension.
Similar to gods and demons across various worlds, the Lord of Nightmares lacks a definitive form or gender. Like them, she can adopt different appearances based on her will. Her human guise manifests as a delicate blonde young woman, though she has also inhabited Lina's body and appeared in her likeness. Instead of a beastly form, the Lord of Nightmares represents the boundless Sea of Chaos beneath countless parallel worlds. Although these worlds exist above her, fragments of her presence permeate each one. Though unable to exert full power within any universe, her capabilities still instill fear among gods and dark lords alike, for nothing surpasses her.
Only two known spells invoke the Lord of Nightmares: Ragna Blade, which conjures a blade of chaos capable of slicing through anything, and Giga Slave, akin to Dragon Slave but summoning the Lord of Nightmares herself into the caster's body rather than just her power. Miscasting Giga Slave risks allowing the Lord of Nightmares to take over the caster’s body or even destroy the universe.
Like the Dark Lords, the Lord of Nightmares aims to return all worlds to the Sea of Chaos. However, due to her chaotic nature, she exhibits inconsistency. Rather than destroying the worlds herself, she appears to wait for the Dark Lords to do so, embodying self-contradiction. Alternatively, if Vorfeed and Darkstar's perspectives hold merit, gods and demons may simply exist to entertain her with their eternal struggle for dominance.
Outside her more serious endeavors, the Lord of Nightmares enjoys conversing with and playfully assaulting the author and Subordinate S (Dark Lord Shabranidgu) with shovels.
