Ms. Chono, known as Miss Lynn Madusa in the English version of the Dungeon Dice Monsters video game, is a teacher at Domino High School. She is infamously referred to as "The Wicked Witch of Expel" or "Lynn, the Expelling Witch." In the past six months alone, she expelled fifteen students. Her seemingly beautiful appearance is actually a facade created by an extremely thick layer of makeup that hides her true, unattractive face. Additionally, she enjoys dating but takes particular pleasure in dumping men just to see them cry, revealing her sadistic nature.
In the manga, Ms. Chono was enraged after being dumped by a man before she had the chance to do so herself. To vent her frustration, she conducted a desk check on her students, hoping to find reasons to expel them for having items like cigarettes, lipsticks, and condoms. She discovered a love jigsaw puzzle on Miho's desk and demanded to know its owner, falsely promising forgiveness if the sender confessed (though she planned to expel the sender regardless). Yugi, Jonouchi, and Honda all claimed responsibility for the puzzle. As Ms. Chono worked on the puzzle, Dark Yugi turned it into a Game of Darkness. The more she assembled the puzzle, the more her face started to fragment. Upon completing the puzzle, her beautiful face shattered, revealing her ugly true face. The other students laughed at her, and she fled the room, declaring that the class never happened and threatening those who exposed her secret.
In the anime, the love puzzle was originally intended as a gift from a girl named Mayumi to Jonouchi, though Anzu actually made it because Mayumi didn't know what to give. When Anzu complained about the school's strict rules, Ms. Chono asked her to collect signatures for a petition asking for more lenient rules. After some boys were ordered to tear up Anzu's signature paper, Dark Yugi challenged Ms. Chono to a game involving two mirrors and blindfolds. Her face cracked after she cheated by removing her blindfold during the game, revealing her ugly face. She later reappears in episode 12 alongside Ryuichi Fuha, where her face cracks again.
