mokuren

Mokuren is a member of the Uruha and used to be partnered with Koganei. He was also part of the Uruha (Maboroshi) group. Mokuren is a ruthless and psychopathic killer who particularly enjoys killing women, refusing to do so with men. However, he makes an exception for Recca after being humiliated in their "fight." After his easy defeat, Mokuren vowed revenge against Recca and eventually came to hate all of the Hokage by association. He will go to any lengths to ensure his victory, including blatant lying and limitless cheating. During his fight with Kaoru, he exploited Kaoru's memories of their time as partners, tricking him into turning his back. In his first battle with Tokiya, he promised to release Kaoru if Tokiya dropped his sword but later pretended he never made such a promise and continued to mercilessly attack Tokiya. After being defeated by various members of the Hokage, Mokuren felt that they looked down on him, making him feel inferior and embarrassed. He believed that all people are selfish and that no matter what they say, they ultimately look out for themselves. He is described as being like Mikoto's male counterpart.
