Former 3rd Seat of the 13th Division, serving under Captain Jūshirō Ukitake

Not much is known about Miyako beyond what was shown in a flashback scene. She was part of the 13th Division and was married to Kaien Shiba. She was highly respected within her division, with many junior members addressing her as "Miyako-dono."

Miyako held the position of 3rd Seat in the 13th Division and was deeply loved by her husband and fellow division members. As a female Shinigami who had worked diligently to achieve a high rank in the division, she was admired for both her intelligence and her beauty. Rukia Kuchiki looked up to her greatly. The circumstances of her death differ slightly between the manga and the anime.
