Nao's other best friend, also known as Mi-chan. He is the son of a doctor. He begins dating Marina later in the series. He has loved Marina as far back as he can remember. In one chapter, Marina thought he was getting too busy with his school work—while everyone else goes to Kubo High, he attends a different high school due to his sports commitments. He once canceled a date because he had to study for exams. So when Nao and Marina were shopping, Nao suggested she visit him on the same day their date was canceled. After Marina agreed, they reached Mi-chan's house only to find him coming down the stairs with another girl. Heartbroken, Marina left without saying a word upon seeing this scene. However, it turned out to be a misunderstanding. When Nao questioned Mi-chan about it, she found out it was just his study group. Nao talked to Marina about it and tried to explain that it was a misunderstanding, to which Marina replied by saying "Maybe I should just break up with him!" Upon hearing this, Mi-chan later reconciled with her when she came back from her computer classes and found Mi-chan sitting on the stairs of her front door. When she asked him how long he had been there, he replied that he went there right after his school ended (which was 5 hours ago), and she asked him about what happened to his club activities, to which he said he skipped them. This really touched her, and she gave him a kiss on his left cheek. After this, they made up.
