One of Nao's best friends, and very loyal. She has a passion for boys and is quite knowledgeable in that area. She maintains a book featuring all the attractive boys she knows. Despite her extensive knowledge, Marina insists she would never date someone she doesn't genuinely like. Later in the story, she begins dating Mi-chan. Typically, once she starts dating a boy, she ends the relationship shortly after. Her only serious relationship has been with Mi-chan. However, when they have a disagreement about her hair, she visits him following Nao's advice and sees him with another girl. Yet, the girl with Mi-chan was merely part of his study group. Marina admits that she knew Mi-chan wasn't cheating on her but felt insecure about their relationship, fearing he might start a new life at his new high school and leave no room for her. She considers breaking up with him. He waits for her to express that he does not want them to break up, and she tells him it was just a joke. He sighs with relief, and Marina kisses his cheek, ending their fight. She also takes computer classes.
