Luders Friegen is a member of the Vandenreich.
Appearance:
Luders wears long white robes covered by a waist-length white robe with a white hood and black face mask. He also has epaulettes on his shoulders. A thin black sash runs from the left epaulette to his right side. His footwear includes white boots. Luders' eyebrows and hair are dark on the right side and white on the left, reaching down to his shoulders. He has circular marks above and below his eyes.
Personality:
Luders displays an audacious temperament, showing no fear when declaring war against the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13. He is condescending towards fellow Vandenreich member Asguiaro Ebern, telling him to bow before him but mocking him when countered. However, Luders is completely submissive and respectful towards the Vandenreich Leader.
History:
Two days before attacking Soul Society, Luders inspected the route for breaking into Seireitei and reported that Soul Society would soon lose its balance of souls with the Human World.
Plot:
The Thousand-Year Blood War arc
Luders leads six masked Vandenreich members to Seireitei, interrupting a Shinigami reporting to Captain-Commander Yamamoto and leaving the messenger in a pool of blood. When asked who they are, Luders greets the Captain-Commander and declares war on the Gotei 13. He questions the security measures in place, to which Yamamoto responds that he himself is the best security. After Lieutenant Sasakibe is impaled by a large arrow, Luders praises him for showing their fate and states that Soul Society will be destroyed in five days by the "Vandenreich".
The group then disappears from Seireitei before Yamamoto's flames fade. Back at their base, they find an injured Asguiaro bowing. Luders comments on Asguiaro's injuries, saying it's admirable for him to bow. As they argue, their Leader severs Luders' arm, disliking arguments. Luders struggles to his knees, declining the Leader's offer to rest. He states that five days are needed for both sides to prepare for battle. The Leader questions if Luders is a prophet, but Luders denies it. Before he can explain further, the Leader kills him with a wave of his hand.
