The true father of Tohno Shiki (whose real name is Nanaya Shiki). He was the most recent head of the Nanaya clan until its downfall, orchestrated by Tohno Makihisa. Kiri met his demise in a fierce battle against Kishima Kouma, during which he managed to wound his opponent, standing as the last Nanaya alive. A highly skilled assassin like all members of his family, he possessed a form of Mystic Eyes. His unique ability allowed him to perceive the lines of people's thoughts, though how this skill enhanced his assassination techniques remains unspecified.
Personality:
Kiri never truly relished killing. It was suggested that he might have found it thrilling, but he never took pleasure in it. Prior to Shiki's birth, Kiri had not considered what role his son would play within the Nanaya Family. Later on, Kiri felt strongly that he did not want his son to follow in his footsteps and become an assassin.
Appearances:
Nanaya Kiri appears directly only in the Kagetsu Tohya side story titled Red Demon God, where his narrative unfolds and serves as the primary source of information about him. In the main game, Tsukihime, he is mentioned vaguely but not named. Within Red Demon God, he is never depicted visually, thus there is no "real" illustration of him. However, the Tsukihime artbook Plus Period includes an encyclopedia entry featuring a sketch of him.
