Jozu is the commander of Whitebeard's 3rd division. He first appeared in Chapter 234 and Episode 151. As the commander, Jozu holds authority over lower-ranking members of the Whitebeard Pirates. He remained unaffected by the powerful Haki released by Yonkou Shanks, showcasing his resilience. With extensive experience, he has been a veteran pirate since the days of Gol D. Roger. Jozu is one of the strongest members of the Whitebeard Pirates, holding the position of 3rd division commander. During the Marineford war, he demonstrated his strength by fighting on par with the Shichibukai and Marine Admirals. His brute strength is extraordinary, comparable to that of the Giant Squad Marines. He once lifted and hurled an immense iceberg at giants protecting Marineford. The iceberg was colossal, appearing to be at least ten times larger than any of the giants. Despite his massive size, Jozu possesses speed and reflexes matching his brute force. When he attacked Crocodile for attempting to take Whitebeard's life, Crocodile remarked on the incredible speed and power of the strike. Jozu has consumed an unnamed Devil Fruit that allows him to transform parts or all of his body into diamond, earning him the nickname "Diamond Jozu." It is unclear whether this fruit is a Paramecia type like the Supa Supa no Mi. His powers significantly enhance both his offensive and defensive capabilities. His physical attacks are bolstered by the density of his diamond form, making them even more potent. His defense is exponentially increased, enabling him to block the world's strongest swordsman, Shichibukai Juracule Mihawk's slash without sustaining damage.
