A former member of the SAS, Denbat becomes part of Team X-II. When their attempt to kill Hao fails, Denbat curses Hao for the deaths of his comrades, Porf and Lucky. Hao questions Denbat's decision to continue fighting, knowing the risks involved. Despite this, Denbat had already prepared a test satellite in space linked to his Archangel, equipped with a laser known as XDI. He fires the laser from orbit at Hao, but the blast is deflected, leading to Denbat's demise at Hao's hand.
Denbat's spirit, Raphael, resides within the ammunition of a grenade launcher. His name is inspired by Golden Bat cigarettes.
