Seaman Recruit Jango is the first mate and hypnotist of Captain Kuro. Utilizing disks that also function as chakrams, he hypnotizes both his targets and occasionally himself during battles. Previously, he had a bounty of 7,000,000 Beli. Jango dresses peculiarly, wearing a long coat adorned with the disks he uses for combat and hypnosis, along with heart-shaped glasses with red lenses. His ability to hypnotize has varying levels of effectiveness.
Jango was defeated by Usopp when he attempted to assassinate Kaya. Later, he appeared in a series of cover stories where it was revealed that he joined the Navy, serving under Captain Hina. His hypnotic powers originated from eating a mushroom that grew on his chin while he was asleep. He only consumed the cap of the mushroom, leaving the stem still attached to his chin.
