Ishigami serves as the art teacher at Yokai Academy and emerges as the ultimate antagonist in the first season, unveiling herself as the mastermind behind the Safety Commission. She is a gorgon (though the manga specifies her species as Medusa) with the ends of her braided hair resembling fanged snake heads. Her bite can instantly petrify its victim, but she lacks the ability to turn people into stone with just a look; it's possible that she does possess this ability but chooses not to use it, ensuring only those she desires become part of her collection. Ishigami has a penchant for turning attractive female students into stone to add them to her living art collection, but her plans are thwarted by Tsukune and Moka, leading to her immediate dismissal from the faculty.
Later, during the Protection Committee arc, Ishigami secretly informs the committee about Tsukune's human identity in an attempt to exact revenge, but she quickly departs after Kuyo's defeat. In the final chapters of the first series, Ishigami reveals that she gave Kyoko, Tsukune's cousin, the Lilith Mirror with the intention of stealing his soul. Additionally, the artifact's powers would release all the students into their monster forms, causing chaos and destruction, which she considers the purest form of art. Ishigami is defeated again and arrested. She also appears in Rosario + Vampire: Tanabata's Miss Yokai Academy as the final boss of the game.
