Foxy the Silver Fox is the captain of the Foxy Pirates. Foxy is a stout man with skinny arms and legs. He has a distinctive cleft lip-like mouth and a unique hairstyle that makes him resemble a fox. His nose, colored red and elongated like Kaku and Usopp's, further enhances this fox-like appearance. Typically, Foxy wears yellow-orange suspenders and a coat. In the anime, his coat is purple, while in the manga and other related media, it is silver. Foxy is known for being a cheater and trickster who participates in the Davy Back Fight, a contest where pirate crews compete to win crew members from each other. Many members of Foxy’s crew joined after he won them in these contests, but they seem genuinely enthusiastic about being part of the Foxy Pirates and cheer on their crewmates and captain fervently during the Davy Back Fight. Despite his confident demeanor and self-admiration, Foxy is extremely sensitive to insults or criticism. Any negative words cause him to become instantly depressed, often leading him to lose his balance and fall to the ground, barely supporting himself with his arms while a black cloud appears over his head. However, a few kind words from anyone can quickly lift his spirits again. In the anime, Nami and Usopp exploited this weakness by alternating between insults and compliments, leaving Foxy emotionally and physically paralyzed during the roller race. Foxy is cunning and uses his Devil Fruit powers along with various tricks to cheat.
