Doflamingo is a member of the Shichibukai, captain of the Donquixote Pirates, part of the Donquixote Family, and the King of Dressrosa. His bounty before joining the Shichibukai was 340,000,000 Beli.
He is an unusually tall blond man who typically wears flamboyant clothing. Reflecting his flamingo theme, his attire includes brightly colored pieces, notably a pink feathered coat. Doflamingo also has a distinctive bow-legged waddle when he walks. Twenty-two years ago, his hair was longer, he wore two earrings in his left ear, sported goggles on his forehead, and still wore his signature sunglasses.
His outfit consists of a white shirt with red stripes, a green belt, and orange pants with white stripes. Initially in the anime, he had a red shirt with black stripes, a purple belt, and black pants with red stripes. However, during his reappearance at Sabaody, his color scheme matched the manga's depiction, except for his glasses. In the manga, his glasses are orange-tinted, while in the anime, they are purple-tinted. He is almost always seen smiling.
Doflamingo is one of the most carefree characters in One Piece. He enjoys dramatic phrasing and exaggerated poses when making declarations. Fearless, he openly taunts Fleet Admiral Sengoku, sits on tables during Shichibukai meetings, and shows gleeful interest in warring with Whitebeard. During the Battle of Marineford, his interactions were driven by personal amusement, hinting at a sadistic side. He often sits in unusual positions, such as on the back of chairs, tables, barrels, and even on piles of bodies in war zones.
Although Doflamingo appeared frequently in the first half of the series, his significant role began in the second half. He is the main antagonist of the Dressrosa Arc and one of the central antagonists of the Pirate Alliance Saga. He operates as an underworld broker under the alias "Joker." It is revealed during the Dressrosa Arc that he was once a World Noble.
