Bellamy, known as "The Hyena," is the captain of his crew and has a bounty of 55,000,000 Beli. He earned his nickname from his distinctive grin and his habit of scavenging riches from other pirates, similar to how a hyena scavenges for food. Bellamy's character is marked by arrogance, violence, and vanity, but he is notably humbled when facing stronger opponents. He admitted to Donquixote Doflamingo that he only engages in fights he knows he can win, which later led to his defeat by Monkey D. Luffy, whom Bellamy had underestimated. Bellamy and his pirate crew play a significant role in the Jaya Arc of the series. After the Skypiea arc, it is revealed that the true leader of the Bellamy Pirates is Donquixote Doflamingo. He travels to Jaya to expel Bellamy from his crew and forces Sarquiss to attack and seemingly kill him as a lesson for disgracing his flag. Bellamy reappears during the Dressrosa arc, specifically at the Colosseum during Luffy's time there, to confront Luffy and tell him that he won't laugh at him anymore.
