"Shark Cutter" Bastille is a Marine vice admiral. He wears a gray metal mask featuring fourteen eye-holes (ten before the time-skip in the anime) and two long, curved bull horns. His long orange hair flows down to his chest, with additional strands extending down his back. Like many high-ranking officers, he dons a double-breasted suit with a blue shirt and black tie, complemented by a military overcoat draped over his shoulders and a chain around the neck area. In his younger years, his hair and the horns on his mask were shorter, and the mask had only twelve eye-holes.
Bastille is known for his displeasure towards junior colleagues who act recklessly. He has a distinctive speech pattern, often ending his sentences with "-dara." His first appearance was in Chapter 553 and Episode 462 of the series.
