mari ayuki

Ayuki is Tomari's closest female friend. Similar to Yasuna, she is quiet and reserved but appears to be more sociable. She often acts as the voice of reason among the characters. Additionally, Ayuki has a keen interest in observing those around her and takes pleasure in studying sciences, particularly biological sciences.

It is subtly implied that Ayuki also has an interest in Hazumu. Later in the anime, she seems to develop an interest in Tomari as well. However, she expresses a preference to stay uninvolved with the emerging love triangle and chooses to watch from the sidelines instead.
