Asuta has always been Hazumu's closest male friend, both before and after the UFO crash. However, his perception of Hazumu alters slightly as he becomes intrigued by Hazumu's new female form and more feminine demeanor. Asuta possesses a markedly more masculine personality compared to Hazumu, and on the night of the Mount Kashima incident, he was searching for Hazumu with the intention of giving him some adult magazines—a gesture Hazumu despises—as an attempt to comfort him following Yasuna's rejection.

After the transformation, Asuta finds himself increasingly drawn to Hazumu, though Hazumu remains completely unaware of this growing attraction. Ultimately, Asuta decides to remain solely as Hazumu's best male companion, recognizing that Hazumu's primary interest lies with Yasuna.
