The writing quality needs work, the plotline is generic and uninteresting, and MC is generic and uninteresting. Not to mention, MC changes his entire personality and becomes a simp as soon as the apocalypse starts. I genuinely couldn't read up to chapter 10. Only reason I'm not rating this lower is becoming I've refused to read more.

An interesting story so far! Raiwan is a very unique character, this is a great read for action and adventure fans.

Victor's journey, his growth, and his determination to break through his limits make him an incredibly relatable and inspiring character. The world-building is top-notch—there's a clear sense of depth to the setting, and it really feels like you're stepping into a harsh, yet full of potential, world. The pacing is great too, never too slow or too rushed. It’s perfectly balanced between action and character development. I especially liked how the stakes are continuously raised. From Victor’s humble beginnings to the larger forces at play, you can tell the author knows exactly where they’re taking this.The characters, especially Victor, are given so much depth. You really get to understand his thoughts, motivations, and his internal struggles, which makes him feel like a real person. And the way he interacts with others? It feels so natural and realistic.The little details like the way Victor thinks about stats and his ambition to push beyond the limits are fascinating. The stats system isn’t just an arbitrary thing—it really affects the characters’ lives, and it's integrated into the world in a way that feels very real. And then there’s the cliffhanger at the end! The twist with the bounty and the artifact? Yeah, I did not see that coming. It’s the perfect setup for the next chapter in his journey, and I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds.Overall, this book is an excellent start to what promises to be an epic story. If you're a fan of characters who fight against the odds, an immersive world, and a plot filled with twists and turns, this is definitely for you. Highly recommended!

In saying that, while intimacy is a core component of the plot of this book, I do not intend for it to be smut or contain any lemons.It is hard to balance, but I will be trying to exercise creativity and euphamisms to describe the plot while avoiding explicit details. If I feel I have gone too far in any scenes, I will most likely revise and change it.In saying this, I hope you enjoy it as it is for sure a new and novel idea that mashes together a wide range of tropes and genres. Nice pacing! I'm relieved Aria was finally able to shift into her full wolf (thanks to sneaky Kaine!). I can't wait to see how she claps back at Darian and Scarlet for their betrayal (they deserve some really good blow in the jaw!).

The progression of events is annoyingly slow, so that if I don't collect two chapters, I might die from waiting. The progression of events, especially in the fights, is slow, and you only show one character in the chapter, or four at most, and you forget the rest of the characters.

You'll find everything from alien invasions and government secrets to ethical issues surrounding the power of the shards. Expect plenty of twists and turns as the characters navigate a world on the brink of chaos, and many intense combat scenes balanced with character moments.•A unique part of the story is the Ikonas(my favorite part btw) , which are tiny creatures that enhance the powers of the shard-bearers. Each one is different, and the interactions between the characters and their Ikonas add a lot of depth to the story.
