Five star fantasy romance that's very well written. Steady world-building. Love the interactions between the princess and the king and am looking forward to seeing how their relationship develops as the story progresses.

Chapters read: 36The beginning of the story felt like a twist of the Hunger Games on a larger scale, with different places and districts sending their young children. It feels like a world of survival of the fittest among mages where only those who show no mercy towards their enemies survive for long. It's definitely not a happy go lucky, magical unicorns and laughter kind of mage story.I like that Wizards, apprentices and those stepping into the wizarding world don't have to have a wand to cast spells. There are magic tools, but one's power is more innate and doesn't revolve around a wand. I enjoyed the story and binge read. Regardless of the review, do a taste test and see if the story is to your liking or not

shameless author here rating his own book a five out five. anyways this review is about what this book is gonna be its'sa high stakes action-fantasy with a lot of emotional and heartfelt moments mixed together with the horror that the inhumans(what the monsters in this series is called) and the morality of gifts and the weight of decisions. also this is gonna be a multi-pov series and the story will be told through the eyes of three people mainly 'aelric calyx' is the first the other two right now are unnamed and will be explored in a manner similar to him all three of them will be used to show a different perspective of the same world and will be chasing their own goals.is it gonna be bloody? absolutely it will be very, very bloody but not meaninglessly.what is the magic system? I will answer it after chapter five! if you have any other questions feel free to ask i will try my best to answer them
